Elise Coudré’s residency explored choice-stress in the era of instant food options. Can we relieve people from stress by taking away choices? Can we nudge people into making better choices? Can a supermarket decide what you will eat today?
During the residency, Elise explored these ideas by producing a comic booklet where she mapped out the current ecosystem of food-human communication in a humoristic way. From this, she developed 5 future scenarios, stories of 5 different worlds where elements of our present society where taken to an extreme. She transformed these into an experiential lunch event during which participants were confronted with the different futuristic worlds while deciding what to eat and engaging with each other in dialogue.
